We run seminars on a wide range of topics directly related to the services we offer. Directors, staff and occasionally guest speakers present these and the majority are free of charge.
Keeping the wheels turning with Armida Business Recovery
On 25th November Armida hosted a free seminar on Business Recovery and aspects of the Enterprise Act. Breakfast was served at 08:00 and was followed by a presentation by Fiona Monson who explained the importance of how the financial well-being of businesses and individuals is fundamental to a vibrant economy. She also made attendees aware of the full range of services available, how to take control in difficult situations and the dangers of not obtaining the correct advice.
Inheritance tax – have you a plan?
On 6th November a combined team of experts presented a well received seminar entitled 40% or less at Barnsgate Manor Vineyard. They shared their knowledge and dispensed advice on the many benefits and reliefs available to help reduce the burden of inheritance tax. The seminar was followed by an enjoyable buffet lunch in the delightful surroundings.
Incorporation for Chartered Surveyors
On 9th July Chartered Surveyors from across Sussex attended our seminar on the use of Limited Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships as business structures.
They heard how these structures can be used to reduce tax liabilities, aid succession planning and incentivise key employees. The seminar was very well received with a lively question and answer session following.

The Benefits of Computerisation 3 July 2003 A highly successful seminar for small businesses was held in our offices on Thursday 3 July. This presentation examined the benefits of using a computerised accounting system for those clients who currently maintained manual systems. Human Resources for temporary employees 6 June 2003
On the 6th June, Armida HR and Hays Accountancy Personnel held their first joint seminar that enabled businesses to learn about the benefits and opportunities that an outsourced HR service can provide. Mike Hannay, head of Armida HR, gave a 2 hour morning presentation and discussion, attended by many business managers.
