Jo Bromley - Manager

Jo is in her eighth year working for Armida where she trained as a Chartered Accountant after finishing University. She manages a portfolio of clients, carrying out work and providing advice on all areas of accounting and taxation. Jo is also the training counsellor for all of Armida's trainees, and heads up Armida's new online bookkeeping service, Liberty.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys walking, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.

Richard Appleyard - Manager

When Richard passed his exams to become a Chartered Accountant, he was recognised at the annual ICAEW awards ceremony for finishing as one of the Top 10 candidates in the whole of the South East region, across all disciplines. Richard is an ambitious individual who prides himself on client care and this, coupled with his technical abilities, allowed him to join the management team at Armida shortly after passing his final exams.

Away from the office, Richard is a keen cyclist and has completed sponsored cycles around Kent in aid of the Kent Air Ambulance Trust. Aside from a general interest in most sports, Richard enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family and friends.

Tax Team

Roy Jenkins - Head of Personal Tax

Roy has been with Armida since its inception in 2000. Prior to that, he served seventeen years with the Inland Revenue (now HMRC) of which his last 5 years were as HM Inspector of Taxes, specialising in investigations into small and medium sized businesses. To date, Roy has nearly 40 years experience in tax.

Outside work, Roy enjoys playing golf and is a dab hand at bar billiards playing for his local club in Eastbourne.

Tony Heath - Tax Manager

Tony has worked for Armida since 2000. He previously spent 27 years with the tax department of a major private bank dealing with high net worth clients. He works closely with Roy Jenkins to service all the personal tax needs of our clients.

Outside interests include family, country walks, 20th century history and music.

IT

Andrew Pitcher - Practice Manager

Having worked for Armida since its creation in 2000, Andrew is one of Armida's longest serving employees. His various roles involve client work including statutory accounts preparation, management accounting, VAT and taxation. Within Armida, Andrew oversees the accounting function as well as running the IT support of the whole practice.

When he is not at work, Andrew enjoys playing squash, circuit training, mountain biking and spending time with his family.

Armida Business Recovery - ABR

Fiona Monson, Principal

Fiona is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and Chartered Accountant who formed Armida Business Recovery in 2001. Fiona has broad experience in both corporate and personal insolvency, having trained with and worked at a Big 4 accountancy firm for 11 years, including spending a year in their Bahrain office.

Fiona is a member of the committee of the Smaller Practices Group of R3, the trade body for IPs, and has been a course director of the annual SPG forum. For five years she was an assistant examiner for JIEB, the insolvency examination board. She is also a member of the committee of the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time, Fiona is an athletics coach and Treasurer of the Paddock Singers.

Shelley Standing - Senior Administrator

Shelley is in charge of the day-to-day case work of ABR and has worked with us since 2006. Prior to joining the team, Shelley has worked in marketing and sales for an International company.

Away from the office, Shelley is involved with her local junior football club and plays stoolball in the summer.

Stefanie Harrison – Senior Administrator

Stefanie has recently joined Armida Business Recovery to help deal with the day-to-day case work with a view to sitting her Insolvency Practitioner exams. She has worked for Armida Chartered Accountants since early 2008 and having recently completed her Chartered Accountancy exams is looking to specialise in insolvency.

In her spare time Stefanie enjoys playing squash and is an avid F1 fan. She enjoys eating out with friends and sitting down with a good book.

Debbie Davey - Administrator

Debbie joined ABR in January 2009. Debbie has worked in retail and administration, and her organisational skills help keep the team effective and efficient.

Debbie is a member of Le Roc dance club which keeps her fit and which she says is much more fun than going to the gym!
